Black Swan presentation

On Monday the 22d of January was the presentation of my fourth Couture collection. Time seems to fly so quickly ever since I’ve been twirling into the storms of Paris Fashion Week ! For this Black Swan collection, I chose to represent woman through the features of a swan. She embodies strength and sensuality.

The collection stages the transformation of Princess Odette into a black swan. The skirts - inspired by ballet - are light and flowing. A subtle glow of transparency unveils the grace of the legs, some ruffles of Dentelle de Chantilly create a playful volume on a base of see-through organza. The looks celebrate the grace of a ballerina, with a dark twist.

A draped top enhances the sensuality of a shoulder, the ball gowns have a slit on the leg, and the backless cuts unveil the curves of the female body. Sensuality is omnipresent. it expresses itself through the complexity of identity, between the light and the obscure. Hand-made embroideries of crystal brighten the darkness of black velvet, a myriade of gold tubes draw a constellation of stars on black organza, as if the shine of crystal could add a mysterious glow to the darkness.

Duality looms large throughout the collection, the aesthetics of Black Swan take roots in the expression of the evil double, and its balance between force and fragility.

The grandiose setting of the Salon Napoléon of Westin hotel was the ideal place to host my event. The architecture of the 18th Century is perfectly in keeping with the grandeur we wanted to express for this collection. A series of crystal chandeliers served as the overpowering decor, and the dresses were displayed just in front of the huge marble columns.

Champagne Edouard Martin greeted my guests to their exquisite Champagne brut and champagne rosé. The cocktail was awaiting 500 guests.

Les Vergers de la Silve also treated my guests to a selection of subtle apple juice and non-alcoholic sparkling juice made in France. The flavours are really soft and genuine, just perfect for a Couture event.

I also had the pleasure to have Gemology cosmetics treat my guests to their selection of high-end face treatments, all based of precious stones. The Crème Perle Blanche is my all-time favorite product from the brand, leaving my dry skin moisturized for 12 hours.
