Earlier during Paris fashion Week, I had great pleasure in presenting two pieces of my first Haute couture collection on Lebanese beauty Paola Elsitt in her Suite at Prince de Galles (Avenue Georges V)
Sweet like a candy, Delicate like a Mademoiselle…. This was the idea we had in mind while working on this super exciting new project for the launch of my wedding collection Sakina Paris.
My talented photographer friend Marleen Serne captured the two different looks.
Romanticism was my leading theme. I made my whole collection with a focus on the Beauty and Fragility of woman, highlighted by delicate details such as dentelle appliqués, flower embroideries, organza ruffles and beading. One of the utmost characteristics of a woman are paradoxically her sensitivity and her sentimental strength, and I wanted my collection to reflect this ideal of love.
My Spring/Summer collection is a celebration of Delicacy and I chose white as the symbol of Hope, and pink as the image of Romance. I really like the atmosphere of the imaginary bubble bath infusing a sense of purity and candid hope in a world free from violence.
These Parisian stairs give the whole collection a charming lightness, as the delicate cascade of silk organza ruffles slide down on a poetical note.
The beautiful setting of hotel Prince de Galles was totally in keeping with the spirit behind my collection for this « Parisian Romance » photo series! What is more romantic than a panoramic view on the Tour Eiffel? It expresses so powerfully this sense of grace and sophistication so dear to Paris.
Suite: The Appartement Parisien (stunning duplex suite!) Thank you Prince de Galles for making this photoshoot so memorable.
