Meditation on Love

La grande passion des femmes est d’inspirer l’Amour. What is really Love? Is Love the energy of Truth? Is Love the most powerful force that humans can possibly experience? Or is it the very idea of making someone feel special? Now that Valentine’s Day is coming tomorrow, it seems like the perfect time to ponder the question. The mutual assurances of unbounded confidence, admiration, tenderness and passion, if there is any genuine sincerity in them, represent a transient state of feeling. And that is when the magic happens.

In this special occasion that is dear to my heart, a dress becomes a tool for seduction. I have come up with a new series of pictures for my Resort 2016 collection celebrating Love under all its most beautiful expressions, through the lens of the talented couple Erika Lauret and Yacin Benhammou.

I wore this beautiful dress from my Sakina Paris resort 2016 collection on the beach of Etretat, Normandie. It was the perfect occasion to pull out a super chic and elegant look. I love when a dress becomes the very extension of a woman’s feeling. And isn’t Love fascinating? I always find myself in a different story when I wear my own creations. I love the versatile allure of this corseted dress made of silk chiffon, both mystical and glamourous.

And here starts the process of seduction. I believe a dress can generate this kind of emotions in us, especially when it comes with such an empowering message. The details of the sleeves are outstanding, unveiling the shoulders in a very seductive way! Couture is all about the details…

We wanted to recreated the spirit behind “Pirates of the Caribbean”, the moment when the mermaid is lost on the shore and the boat of the pirates is set adrift. This nameless grace leaves a strong expression, with a mixed sensation of mystery and delight.
