Mademoiselle Paola in Paris
On a late summer day of September, the whole Sakina Paris team had the pleasure of greeting Lebanese fashion blogger Paola Elsitt to Paris and doing a photoshoot with her in the most iconic pieces of the collection, and we entitled the series Paris Mon Amour. I love Paola’s excitement whenever she is in Paris and her capacity to enroll any personality for an editorial!
We set up the photoshoot in the Royal Monceau hotel where she had a beautiful suite. The atmosphere was pure magic : modernity with a touch of typical French refinement. Look 1 is a fur coat from our upcoming ready-to-wear collection, that we wanted to show in exclusivity. The fitted structure of the coat gives an instant glow of feminity to whoever wears it. The wool is the ideal material for a cold Parisian winter too, and the creamy white is particularly eye-catching. Paola paired it with an Armani wool hat and some vintage sunglasses to stay in keeping with the Parisian spirit.
Look 2 is the best-seller of our “Une forêt d’Automne” Haute Couture collection : the Poppy dress was worn on the red carpet of Venice Film festival previously, because of its dramatic effect! It is a dress made of hand-pleated silk chiffon, and a smooth allure constrated with an eye-catching silk organza poppy cut by hand and sewn on the neck line. I love the glamourous cut of this dress that unveils the typical “side breast”. Paola knows how to look royal in it, and the crystal room of Royal Monceau served as the powerful decor.
Look 3 is a structured graphic dress from our “Une forêt d’autumne” Haute Couture collection too. It is made of silk crepe with a pleated puffy sleeve in order to give that 80’s effect. The slit on the leg adds a dash of extra glamour. Paola chose the terrace of Royal Monceau as the setting of this look. It is indeed particularly photogenic, with these hanging flowers and natural light!
Which of the three looks is your favourite? Scroll down and enjoy the whole Paris Mon Amour series!
