The conference of the Prix Romy Schneider 2018
Earlier this morning, we were proudly attending the Prix Romy Schneider et Patrick Dewaere conference at Hotel Lancaster in Paris. They are one of the most prestigious awards celebrating the talent of young upcoming actors from the French cinema.
My manager Regine Le Brun and I were invited by Frédéric Vidal, the event organizer. When you look at the long list of great actors who were awarded with the much-coveted prize at the beginning of their careers, ranging from Vanessa Paradis in 1990 to Juliette Binoche, Adele Exarchopoulos, and Alain Delon, Joey Starr and Pierre Niney for the male category, one can't deny how helpful this award has been in leading the success of their promising debuts.
Among the nominees, I had the pleasure of meeting the talented Nahuel Pérez Biscayart who owns a great palmarès of movies that have been recently awarded at the French César ceremony : 120 battements par minute and Au Revoir là-haut.
And among the female nominees, Adeline D'Hermy from La Comédie Française is competing for the Romy Schneider awards after being in the César official selection for best leading actress in the movie Maryline.
The prize ceremony will take place on June 11 at Hotel Lancaster, which was the iconic hotel of Marlène Dietrich and many Hollywood actresses, with a typical Haussmannian architecture. Within sights of Champs Elysées, this very chic boutique hotel will be hosting the Prix Romy Schneider et Patrick Dewaere after a long history of cinema awards.
