Prix Romy Schneider 2019

Last night was the big night for the French movie industry : the well-known Prix Romy Schneider celebrated its 37th edition at Hotel Lancaster in Paris. My fashion house Sakina Paris was one of the official partners of the event, along with Renault and Paris Premiere, and we couldn’t be prouder to participate in such a beautiful event with these successful big brand names. Prix Romy Schneider - named after our famous late actress - is a French award ceremony that celebrates the starting career of a young actress. Among the selection, three actresses were named : Lily Rose Depp, Alice Isaaz and Diane Rouxel.

It’s with great enthusiasm and admiration that I support the young talents of my generation for the 37th edition of the Prix Romy Schneider and Patrick Dewaere. For the special occasion, I came up with a retrospective collection in tribute to French actress Romy Schneider, in order to give each visitor the desire to celebrate the magic of cinema. Each dress holds the name of a movie that Romy Schneider played in, mostly in the early 70's, keeping the very essence of her style.

I had the pleasure of dressing up my actress friends, including Audrey Giacomini and Elsa Godard, and some ballerinas from Opera de Paris such as Camille Bon in my previous Haute Couture collection called "Black Swan", inspired by the beauty of classical ballet.

For my personal red carpet look, I picked up a very fresh, summery look on myself for the big night: a hot pink asymmetrical dress from the Sakina Paris ready-to-wear collection that is so minimalistic, yet elegant and comfortable. I love a simple dress that makes you look instantly elegant with no extra effort. I paired it with a Sakina Paris calf leather small bag and a pair of colorful Jimmy Choo. What it means for me to be an official partner for Prix Romy Schneider is that it supports young talents and give them a platform to express their own style and vision. As a young entrepreneur, they inspire me and I can completely identify with any artist from my generation.
